The pCI-neo Vector was designed for high-level, constitutive expression of cloned DNA inserts in mammalian cells. The vector carries the cytomegalovirus (CMV) immediate-early enhancer/promoter, simian virus 40 (SV40) late polyadenylation signal and an optimized chimeric intron for regulating expression. The pCI-neo Vector also contains the neomycin phosphotransferase gene for selection of stably transfected clones, a multiple cloning region, T7 and T3 RNA polymerase promoters*, the f1 origin of replication and a highcopy prokaryotic origin of replication for E. coli.
